Klassik was a breathtaking racing festival. The "Ring" celebrates 75 year
in 2002 and ran a 1000 km race, divided on two days. Here is a first picture

Racing runs (or have run) in historic racing is Lotus Cortina, Ford Anglia
and Mini Marcos. |

| In
HTCC Gerhard Carlson has races his well-known light blue Ford Anglia Super.
For 2001 he bought the red Lotus Cortina which was earlier run by Thomas
Hall. The car was prepared by Bjarne Nygren, who also was co-driving with
Gerhard atthe historic European Championship race at Scandinavian Raceway,
Anderstorp (Sweden). |

| In
RHK, Gerhard drove the new Cortinan. Already in the first race, he places
second, with the second fastest laptime. In HTCC Effektiv Racing ran four
out of six races, and Bjarne Nygren took third place in his class with
another Lotus Cortina behind Tommy Brorsson and Thomas Thelin. |

season of 2002 was restricted by Gerhards work with Team SEB in the Volvo
Ocean Race, but a couple of RHK races was run, and also the historic European
Championship at Nürburgring, and of course the really good effort
at the Eifel Klassik. |

a young racing talent as he builds a career (Carl Rydquist - www.carlrydquist.com). |
